Curalife works to make online dietitian consultations accessible and easy to manage. To ensure dietitians’ time is respected and appointments remain available to all patients, specific no-show and late cancellation rules apply to the Personal Dietitian Service.
It’s important to review these policies before scheduling your appointment.
Late cancellation policy
If you cancel your online dietitian consultation less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, a late cancellation fee of $75 will apply.
Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance do not incur any fee.
No-show policy
If you miss your scheduled consultation without canceling in advance, a $75 no-show fee will apply.
A no-show is defined as not joining the appointment at the scheduled time using the provided video link.
How fees are processed
If a late cancellation or no-show fee applies:
The fee is processed through the Curalife platform
The full amount is transferred to Beluga Health, the provider of the dietitian service
Curalife does not retain any portion of this fee
These fees help compensate the dietitian for reserved appointment time.
How to avoid fees
To avoid late cancellation or no-show fees, please:
Use the cancellation or rescheduling link in your confirmation or reminder emails
Make any changes at least 24 hours before your appointment
Ensure you join the session on time using the video link provided
Important billing details
The $75 no-show or late cancellation fee is not covered by insurance, even if your consultation itself was covered at $0.
The fee is charged to the credit card on file, regardless of whether the visit was otherwise free.
This fee is passed through to Beluga Health, which provides the dietitian service.
